I'm sorry to hear that you're going through this. I guess I'm suspicious and cynical but I just don't think people change that much for the better. Threatening to take a baby from her mother just to be mean or minipulative is pretty low. You shouldn't have to go through your life worrying. I think just do whatever will get him away the fastest. You can explain to your daughter when she gets older what he was threatening and that you had to take actions to make sure she stayed safe with you. That's what I would do, anyway.

Good luck to you, whatever you decide. I know you have hard decisions to make.

.....I am the same way...it is better to be safe than sorry where your child is concerned they cannot advocate for themselves nor should they haveto but others may not always be able to see this in the midst of the issue as they are going through it...too many emotions and it is hard to make a definite choice so all I can do is offer advice.

I agree. It's easy to "know" what I would do when I'm not the one in the middle of it all. Emotions cloud everything up.
