| Description: | ALTered Zero's debut album, "Untitled" is a collection of twelve tracks that range from unpredictable, to confrontational, to strangely beautiful. This is an album for those fed-up with the mind-numbing sameness of most bands, who are either making music solely for the money, or following in the footsteps of such an act, trying to emulate their successes while the music plays second fiddle to fame.
"Untitled" goes beyond all that, with its raw, underproduced sound and occasionally off-key vocals (no pitch correction software was used) that somehow become an endearing quality. Sole member Aaron Tom's lyrics turn genre cliches on its side, with songs ranging from a surprisingly honest love song, to brutal tales of murder and (imagined) revenge.
You just may end up hating "Untitled", but it's that rare work from an artist, rather than a corporate whore masquerading as one.
