Given isoHunt's somewhat unusual Releases / Torrent interface, here's a step by step guide to posting:
1. Make a .torrent file out of what you like to share over BitTorrent. I recommend
Azureus
which includes all the functionality you need, including making and downloading torrents. Here's the
Azureus user guide,
including a section on how to start seeding.
2. Search for a release you want to post your torrent in
here
3. If there's already a release for what you want to post, click it and skip to step 5.
4. If there's no release for what you want to post, click the
Post new release
at the top left of all the Release pages. Fill in as much useful information as you can for people looking at the releases. Submit the info after you are done. You don't upload your torrent yet on this page.
5. On the Release viewing page, near the bottom there's a BitTorrent section. Check the torrents that's already posted to make sure you are not posting a dupe, and hit the [Upload] link at the end.
6. Upload and fill in the details on the upload page, and you are done For the description, you don't need to repeat what's already said in the Release, but notes such as the language and format of the torrent you are posting would be useful.
7. If there's more than 1 .torrent for your release, such as multiple iso images, upload them under the same release by repeating step 6.
The reason for why I have this kind of Releases interface is to attempt to give the posted torrents more organization, so please try to
avoid dupes and group torrents together
in their appropriate Release. You can also vote on torrents uploaded by others.
UPDATE: if these steps aren't clear enough, check out joenobody's
illustrated guide.

Azureus has about the most features of all clients, some would say it's bloated since it's also written in java. If you computer is reasonably modern you won't notice much sluggishness. It has integrated Peerguardian support to block out certain ips, but you don't really need that if you are running it on your comp anyways. |

I've spent about 8 hours now trying to upload material for others using both ABC and Azureus, but with no luck. I'm about ready to give up, and resign myself to being just another who keeps on taking, taking, taking, but never giving back. I have 518 CD rips on my computer that I am happy to share, but the frustrations involved in sharing them have just about put me right off!
Until the Bottorrent process is a lot more easy to use, I can't see it growing and expanding. |

Are you behind a firewall/router? That's usually the only reason for inability to upload properly. Look at this thread if you haven't: http://isohunt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1525 |

Hi, I just want to clarify for anyone who is wondering (like I was) what you have to do to the torrent file itself before uploading it. The answer is that you don't do anything to it at all. Just upload the original torrent and the site will create a modified version that you can then use to download from the original site or from several other backup sites. |

Hi,
I am making the torrent file and I need to know what is the tracker address for isohunt. Can someone tell me what is the current isohunt tracker address?
Thanks. |

We don't have one, the one we have running is overloaded and is used to BTHub backup purposes only. Just use any of the 1000s of trackers found here or host your own (Azureus for example comes bundled with one) |

On the Post new release page (http://s2.isohunt.com/release.php?post) I could not find a place to upload the torrent. I could fill in info about the files it represented, and URL links to related info and dat file for P2p. Where do I provide the torrent? |

you upload torrent after you post the release. Maybe it's not very obvious, I enlarged the font and put it in square brackets of the "Upload .torrent" link, at bottom of release pages. |
